Zipline Raises $1 Billion at $20 Billion Valuation as Walmart Rollout Begins

Zipline has raised $1 billion at a $20 billion valuation as it expands its U.S. delivery partnership with Walmart, starting with 300 supercenters. CEO Keller Rinaudo says demand has exceeded expectations at both companies and argues that faster, less expensive drone delivery will lead customers to order more. He says the business rests on a decade of operating experience and a system built to handle the engineering, manufacturing and logistics of scaling deliveries.
