Privacy policy

Effective May 6, 2026

Overview

Orply collects the information needed to operate the service: account details, reader preferences, email delivery records, business inquiry details, and standard technical data. We do not sell reader data.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, name when provided, account authentication details, industries you follow, alert preferences, and messages sent through Orply forms. For Business inquiries, we may also collect company, role, team size, and request details.

Technical and usage data

When you use Orply, we may receive standard technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, account activity, and email delivery events. This helps us operate the site, understand whether Briefs are being read, detect abuse, and improve delivery.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, deliver Briefs and alerts, remember reader preferences, respond to requests, evaluate Business inquiries, maintain the archive, monitor service performance, and protect Orply from misuse.

Email delivery

If you sign up for Orply, we may send daily Briefs, alerts, account messages, and operational notices. Content emails include unsubscribe controls where required. We may still send transactional messages needed to operate your account or respond to your requests.

Accounts and authentication

Orply supports account access through email and Google sign-in. Authentication providers may process information needed to verify your identity. We use that information to create and maintain your Orply account, not to post to third-party services or access unrelated third-party data.

Service providers

We use service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, analytics, workflow automation, customer communications, and site security. These providers may process information for Orply only as needed to provide their services to us.

Cookies and local storage

Orply uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as theme, maintain security, measure site usage, and operate core product features. Disabling cookies may prevent account and preference features from working correctly.

Sharing

We do not sell reader data. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect Orply and its readers, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate Orply, maintain account and delivery records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies an individual reader.

Reader choices

You can update your industry follows, alert settings, and email preferences from your account where those controls are available. You can also request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information by writing to us.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to limit access to personal information to people and systems that need it to operate Orply.

Children

Orply is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Orply, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes

We may update this policy as Orply develops. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify readers, such as posting the revised policy on this page or sending an account notice where appropriate.
