MIT associate professor of architecture and urban studies and planning, Mission Director for the MIT Climate Project, and director of the Urban Risk Lab. She leads research and community-engaged design work on disaster preparedness, resilient cities, and anticipatory infrastructure for hazards including flooding, earthquakes, cyclones, and heat stress.
