Kiran Musunuru

Kiran Musunuru is a cardiologist, geneticist, and gene-editing researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is Barry J. Gertz Professor for Translational Research and Co-Director of the Penn Medicine/CHOP Orphan Disease Center. He co-led the CHOP–Penn team behind Baby KJ’s first-of-its-kind personalized CRISPR gene-editing therapy for a rare metabolic disease.
