Three Workplace Barriers Keep Caregivers From Working and Advancing

At the WIN Summit in New York, awardees of the Workplace Innovation Now Challenge argued that helping women thrive at work requires changes to how communities and employers provide, recognize and pay for care. Coastal Enterprises, Inc. is helping women build child care businesses; the National Alliance for Caregiving is developing a voluntary way for employees to share caregiving responsibilities with employers; and United Way of Southeastern Idaho is splitting child care costs among families, employers and community or public contributors.
