David Leonhardt

David Leonhardt is an editorial director in The New York Times opinion department, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and author of “Ours Was the Shining Future: The Story of the American Dream.” He previously helped found The Morning newsletter and The Upshot and has served as an op-ed columnist and Washington bureau chief at The Times.
