a16z is expanding its crypto fund into a16z Frontier, a mandate to back founders working in areas that have not yet become established investment categories. Chris Dixon, Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen argue that advances in AI could let small teams attempt more ambitious projects and create opportunities across fields that were once treated separately.
