Matt Wu, who leads the nonprofit Schoolhouse, argues that AI can expand access to instruction but cannot replace the motivation, connection and sustained support students gain from another person. Schoolhouse pairs students around the world for free peer tutoring, with learners who master material able to become tutors themselves.
